Elmer H. “Peach” Claypoole

Elmer H. “Peach” Claypoole, 76, of Petrolia passed away at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Elmer was born April 7, 1940, in Butler County. He was the son of the late William M. Claypoole and the late Mabel E. Ace Claypoole. Elmer had been employed at Greco Welding for more than 28 years.

Elmer is survived by his wife, Geraldine Pisor Claypoole, with whom he just celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary Aug. 22; four daughters, Anna Page of Hilliards, Nancy Blair of Petrolia, Barbara (Bill) Gallagher of Boyers and Beverly (Bud) Anthony of Karns City; two sons, William Claypoole of Petrolia and John (Sis) Claypoole of Whiskerville; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence “Buzz” Claypoole of Petrolia; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Elmer was preceded in death by one sister; two brothers; and his dog, Molly.

CLAYPOOLE — Friends of Elmer H. “Peach” Claypoole, who died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with retired minister, the Rev. Robert V.
