Butler Police3:59 p.m. Friday — A dump truck driven by William J. McDonald of West Middlesex, Mercer County, turned into the side of a sport utility vehicle on South Washington Street at West Birch Street. McDonald told police the SUV was in a blind spot and he didn’t see it. Dorothy A. Grigoletti, 78, of Butler was driving the SUV.2:48 p.m. Aug. 13 — Amber N. Weitzel, 31, of Butler Township lost control of her car around a bend on Morton Avenue near Mackey Avenue, traveled up an embankment and rolled onto its roof. Police cited Weitzel for driving without a license.4:12 p.m. Aug. 12 — Cars driven by Michael D. Perkins, 17, of Butler and John J. Cuda, 78, of Butler Township collided at Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street.

Buffalo Twp PoliceTuesday — Police got an arrest warrant for Gerald A. McNally, 23, of Freeport on charges he stole a car from the home of his father and grandfather in the 2000 block of Silverville Road.Both relatives, who own the 2014 Ford Focus, told police that McNally did not have permission to take the car. Police issued a be-on-the-lookout advisory to other police departments in and around the county. Neither the car nor the suspect was found. McNally is charged with a felony count of theft.Tuesday — Larry D. Banks, 56, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, was charged with stealing items from two semi-trailer trucks last month at Freeport Transport on Butler Road.Police allege Banks took a CB radio from one truck and a remote antenna from the other truck. The stolen property is valued at $768. The suspect is charged with two counts of theft.

Penn Twp PoliceTuesday — James C. Keller, 28, of Zelienople was charged with drunken driving stemming from a two-vehicle wreck this month on Route 8 near the Hardwood Cafe.Police said Keller about 6:10 p.m. Aug. 5 crashed his pickup truck into the other vehicle. The investigating officer said the suspect appeared intoxicated.He eventually was taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.176 percent, according to court documents, or more than double the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.A search of Keller also turned up suspected marijuana and a marijuana pipe.In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

State Police, Butler8:20 p.m. Wednesday — A 50-year-old Westmoreland County man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Freeport Road in Jefferson Township.The Lower Burrell man’s child was in the front passenger seat when his car was pulled over. The suspect was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital but refused a blood test. Police said DUI and other charges are pending.Tuesday — A thief stole a car on Ekastown Road in Clinton Township. The Daewoo car was behind a garage about 300 feet from the owner’s home.The owner, a 61-year-old man, told police the car was unlocked and the keys were in the center console. The theft happened between Aug. 18 andThe dark blue, 2001 model, four-door vehicle is accessorized with a bullet-hole decal on the front driver’s side bumper. The theft happened between Aug. 18 and Tuesday. Police said their investigation continues.9:51 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Paul G. Smith, 78, of Mars struck another pickup that was parked in the driveway of a home on Spring Street in Mars. Smith was backing up when he hit the truck.

State Police, Kittanning8:15 p.m. Tuesday — A 56-year-old Westmoreland County man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 south at exit 18 in South Buffalo Township.The New Kensington man was later taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township for a blood test. Charges are pending lab tests.
