Butler PoliceMonday — Sara Beth Johnson, 22, of Greenville, Mercer County, was charged with last month when police found her on Wagner Avenue at North West Street.Police said they were flagged down just before 7 p.m. July 18 and told about a woman laying face down on the road. Officers were unable to immediately awaken her.Eventually, Johnson, who appeared to be under the influence, sat up, according to police. She told police that she had been looking for a friend’s house nearby.She was taken to the station where police found suspected heroin shooting kit that included two stamp bags and several empty bags of suspected heroin, a metal spoon and syringe caps in her purse.Johnson is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.

Middlesex Twp Police10:30 a.m. Aug. 15 — Holly M. Greiner, 29, of Middlesex Township was arrested after she failed to appear as a witness for a defendant’s summary hearing at the office of District Judge Sue Haggerty in Saxonburg. Police on July 28 had served Greiner with a subpoena that required her to testify.Greiner on Aug. 17 was arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of being an absconding witness. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,000 bail following arraignment.

Slippery Rock PoliceFriday — Police charged Shane W. Errera, 22, of Clay Township with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop earlier this month on Franklin Street. A patrol officer stopped the suspect’s car about 2:20 a.m. Aug. 5, court documents said, for having “an extremely loud” exhaust system.The officer said he smelled burned marijuana coming from the car when he spoke to Errera, who also appeared impaired. In the vehicle, police found two marijuana pipes, a marijuana grinder and a pill bottle with suspected marijuana residue in it.The suspect acknowledged the contraband was his, documents said.Police took Errera to the Grove City Medical Center for a blood test. Toxicology results later confirmed the presence THC.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, police charged Errera with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a muffler, driving with worn tires and driving without a passenger side wiper.6:35 p.m. Thursday — Adam R. Pascale, 29, of Jeanette, Westmoreland County, was arrested on charges he used his girlfriend’s credit card without her permission to buy a bottle of vodka at a state store. Pascale allegedly lifted the card from the woman’s wallet that was at her home on Maltby Avenue.Police later that day found the suspect at his girlfriend’s home. They also learned that he was wanted on a warrant in Westmoreland County.Pascale was arraigned on charges of access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail and for the warrant, following arraignment.

State Police, ButlerTuesday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Devin Robert Haley, 21, of Petrolia in connection with an altercation at a Petrolia bar that left another man injured.Haley is accused of punching Greg Bly, 47, of Petrolia in the face about 12:15 a.m. Friday during an argument at Alan’s Roadhouse on Main Street. The punch knocked Bly to the floor. He suffered a moderate head injury.Haley is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
