2:23 a.m. Wednesday — Jeffrey L. Kyles-Edge, 38, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife, Tara Kyles-Edge, during a domestic dispute at the couple’s home in the 300 block of Wagner Avenue.

Tara Kyles-Edge told police that her husband shoved and grabbed her. She suffered scrapes to the right side of her face and neck, court documents said.

Jeffrey L. Kyles-Edge was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail following arraignment.

4:32 p.m. Tuesday — Tait C. Kerr, 42, of Butler was arrested after she was caught allegedly shoplifting a flavored milk drink at Friedman’s supermarket on West Brady Street. Police said when an employee confronted her with the $2 item, she claimed she intended to pay for it.

Kerr, who has four prior convictions for shoplifting, according to court documents, was arraigned on a felony count of retail theft. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail following arraignment.

Aug. 15 — Police charged Alias D. Solo, 25, of Butler Township with kicking and damaging a door Aug. 3 at a woman’s home in the 300 block of Broad Street. Solo had gone to the house to pick up his child, and got into an argument with the woman there.

Solo is accused of breaking the door frame and causing about $590 in damage. He is charged with criminal mischief.

Friday — Police charged Tiffany L. McNeish, 34, of Butler with stealing money from a co-worker’s purse Aug. 9 at the Comfort Inn on Route 8 south. McNeish is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]

Friday — Police charged Donna Digiacomo, 47, and Jarrod Warner, 36, both of Butler, in connection with a shoplifting incident last month at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.

Digiacomo and Jarrod Warner were caught about 3:40 p.m. Aug. 3 allegedly trying to steal $613 worth of clothing at the JC Penney store. Both suspects face theft-related charges.

Friday — Dominic A. Sharrer, 28, and Christina M. Dishong, 31, both of Harrisville, were charged with scattering 15 to 20 bags of garbage on July 4 on Canadian National Railway property on Harmony Road in Mercer Township. Police cited both suspects for littering.

Aug. 15 — Police charged Justin M. Angerett, 25, of Slippery Rock with having suspected drug contraband Aug. 10 at the Eat ’n’ Park restaurant in Clearview Mall in Center Township. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.

Aug. 13 — Someone broke into at least three vehicles Aug. 12 or 13 in Jefferson Township. Unspecified items were taken from the vehicles on Simon and Green Manor drives. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.

Aug. 16 — Police charged Jessica L. Neely, 27, of Rimersburg with shoplifting nearly $20 worth of merchandise Aug. 4 at the Walmart in Monroe Township.

Neely, who has two prior arrests for shoplifting and was previously barred from the store, was arraigned on a felony count of retail theft and misdemeanor trespass.

Additionally, following her arrest, she was caught with suspected drugs and other contraband. She was arraigned in a separate case on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She is in the Clarion County Prison on $30,000 bail.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]

9:59 a.m. Sunday — An Armstrong County man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Route 422 east near the Graff Bridge in Manor Township. Jonathan Troup, 29, of Dayton was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh following the crash.

Police said Troup was speeding when his car rear-ended another vehicle and slammed into a concrete barrier. The car became airborne and rolled over about three times, according to a police report, throwing Troup out of the vehicle.

Thai H. Pham, 22, of Erie was the other driver. Police said the investigation continues.

Today — Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a pair of shoplifters suspected of stealing a security system earlier this month from the Walmart on West Main Street Extension in Pine Township, Mercer County

The man and woman, both white, placed the merchandise in a shopping cart about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 12 and eventually removed it from its packaging before driving away in a gray, newer model Kia Optima.

The man is described as being heavyset, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He wore his hair in a “man bun.” The woman is between 5 feet and 5 feet, 3 inches tall. Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities or whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.

2:33 a.m. Sunday — A 36-year-old Stoneboro man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in the 1600 block of West Main Street Extension near Irishtown Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police said DUI charges are pending lab tests.

1:09 a.m. Saturday — A 30-year-old Mercer man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Millburn Road near Old Mercer Road in Springfield Township. Police said DUI charges are pending lab tests.

3:50 p.m. Friday — Michael L. Columbus Jr., 29, of Slippery Rock was hurt when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle, struck a small tree and traveled into a ditch along Route 258 just north of North Liberty Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.

Columbus, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. He was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

Aug. 11 — A thief stole prescription medication from a man’s home on Orchard Drive near East Main Street in Pine Township, Mercer County. The unspecified medication was taken between 9 p.m. Aug. 9 and 3 p.m. Aug. 10. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
