Adams Township PoliceWednesday — Mark A. Watt, 43, of Mars, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance in Adams Township. He also was charged with driving while having a suspended or revoked license.

State Police, Butler2 p.m. Wednesday — Karen Verheyen of Butler was charged with retail theft after an incident that happened at Dollar General in Center Township.11:12 a.m. Tuesday — Jack Richard Werner, 22, of Butler, was charged with simple assault. Werner allegedly shoved Kelly Nicole Werner, 26, of Butler, multiple times, causing injuries to her elbow and back, at a residence at 439 Beaver Dam Road.

State Police, New Castle5:30 p.m. Wednesday — An unknown person stole a 50-inch, flat-screen Vizio television from the residence of Linda Galovich, 59, at 126 Wood Wind Road in Plain Grove Township. The television’s estimated value is $1,500. Anyone with information can contact state police at 724-598-2211.
