Gun registration fees

Pennsylvania has two major decisions to make soon. One is how to increase revenue to pay for its new budget and the other is how to control gun violence. I have a solution for both.

The Legislature has helped increase revenue by adding a dollar to the excise tax on cigarettes. Why not do the same for the purchase of guns, ammunition, bulletproof vests and gun accessories?

I have to pay an annual license fee each year for each of my cars. Why not have an annual registration and license fee for every gun owned? This would bring in a huge amount of money to the state.

Possibly by charging a higher sales tax and an annual license fee, there would be fewer guns on the market. I am not against gun ownership or the Second Amendment. Just pay for ownership.

It’s worth a try to have an annual registration and license fee for every gun owned. This would also help know where the guns are located.

Money talks! It is worth a try and will help solve the revenue problem
