[naviga:h3]Zelie library to host teen driving talk[/naviga:h3]

ZELIENOPLE — Kevin Lenz from the D.I.A.N.A. Driving School will be at the Zelienople Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to talk about teen driving.

This is a free program open to new drivers, potential drivers and their families. To register, call the library at 724-452-9330.

The library is at 227 S. High. St.

[naviga:h3]Open house scheduled at Freeport middle school[/naviga:h3]

BUFFALO TWP — Freeport School District will hold an open house for the middle school at 6 p.m. Aug. 22.

The middle school, which is behind the high school off Route 356, was built in 2015. Although classes were held there for the 2015-16 school year, finishing touches were completed this year, pushing an open house to 2016.

Roughly 450 students in grades six to eight attend the school.
