Butler Twp Police12:11 p.m. Thursday — James D. Parris, 54, of Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, was caught allegedly shoplifting 17 items at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Police cited Parris for retail theft.

State Police, Franklin9:15 p.m. Friday — A New York City man was caught with suspected marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Scrubgrass Township. Police pulled over Justin Correa, 22, of the Bronx and found the suspected contraband. Police said Correa was arraigned on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana, and released on unsecured bail.4:20 p.m. Saturday — Derrick J. Hetrick, 20, of Grove City allegedly shoplifted a bag of Miracle-Gro and a pack of Gillette razor blades from the Walmart on West Main Street Extension in Pine Township. He faces a charge of retail theft.6:20 p.m. Tuesday — Jennifer C. Dora, 28, of Grove City was caught allegedly hiding merchandise in her purse at the County Market store, Pine Grove Square in Pine Township. Dora faces a charge of retail theft.

State Police, New CastleSaturday — A thief stole a license plate from a utility trailer at a home on Boyd Avenue in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The Pennsylvania trailer plate number XCS-2101 was taken between Oct. 28 and Saturday. A report did not indicate if there are any suspects.
