Troyan is AMCC Woman of YearERIE — Butler High School product and Penn State Behrend graduate Taylor Troyan has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Woman of the Year.As such, she is nominated for the 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year Award, which will be presented in October.The program honors the academic achievements, athletic excellence, community service and leadership of graduating female college athletes from all three NCAA divisions.Troyan, a goalie, was captain of Behrend’s women’s soccer team and maintained a 3.5 grade-point average.

James banner will remain in placeCLEVELAND — LeBron James will continue to soar over downtown.Sherwin-Williams announced Tuesday it has changed plans to remove a 10-story banner of James hanging from the side of its headquarters. The paint company had intended to detach the banner and replace it with one celebrating its 150th anniversary.However, public outcry caused Sherwin-Williams to alter those plans and remove the likeness of James for only a few weeks. Now, the banner, which hangs across the street from Quicken Loans Arena, home of the NBA champion Cavaliers, will be untouched.

Jim Brown settles video game suitLOS ANGELES — NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown has accepted a $600,000 offer from video game maker Electronic Arts to end a lawsuit alleging the company illegally used his likeness in its NFL Madden games.A law firm representing Brown announced the deal. EA had no comment.Brown said in the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County in 2013 that he declined to license his likeness to EA, but EA used it anyway. He accused the company of violating his right of publicity.Brown also sued EA in federal court, but a judge dismissed the case.

Jenner appears on SI cover with medalNEW YORK — Caitlyn Jenner is appearing on the cover of “Sports Illustrated” wearing her gold medal 40 years after her 1976 decathlon Olympic win.Jenner told the magazine she had a complicated relationship with the medal and had kept it in drawers and in a safe, but never on display.Jenner, at the time Bruce Jenner, was featured on the SI cover in the Aug. 9, 1976, issue after winning gold.
