Nature Walk set for July 16

EAST BRADY — The Armstrong Rails to Trails Association is sponsoring a nature walk on the Armstrong Trail in conjunction with the East Brady Riverfest.

The walk is at 1 p.m. on July 16 and starts at the East Brady Treatment Plant parking lot on Verner Street. It will happen rain or shine, and there is no fee or preregistration requirement.

Walking sticks and bottled water will be provided and a guide will lead participants on a 1- to 3-mile walk that is ideal for families and older folks. Several benches will be available along the way for rest stops.

Trail guides will talk about the trail, the history of the area and the flora and fauna along the route, including a waterfall and a vista at Pine Run.
