Police seize drugs from city home, questioning man found at house
State police vice officers took one person into custody after busting a suspected drug house in Butler this morning.
Police also seized an unspecified amount of heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia from the house in the 200 block of East Brady Street.
An officer who participated in the raid about 6 a.m. called the bust “significant” but he would not elaborate.
A 29-year-old Butler man was taken to the barracks for questioning but he was not immediately charged. Police did not identify the man but they acknowledged that he did not live at the house
City police said the house is comprised of three apartments.
The participating officer who did not want to be identified said police obtained a sealed search warrant that targeted the home. He would not disclosed any target names in the warrant or reveal what police were specifically looking for at the home.
The officer also declined to say how long the house has been under investigation by the police vice unit.
The investigation, he added, continues.
