Butler PoliceThursday — Sherri Fleeger, 46, of Petrolia was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Franklin Street for an alleged drug deal taking place in a car. When police arrived, Fleeger was in the driver’s side of the car and a man was walking on Franklin Street. A witness told police the man was in the vehicle moments earlier.Fleeger gave police permission to search the vehicle. A glass pipe with marijuana residue, a small bag containing another pipe and a small bag of marijuana was found.11:34 p.m. Wednesday — Kevin P. Kerr of Lyndora was driving his Oldsmobile Aurora south on Walker Avenue and his car hit a parked Dodge Challenger owned by Matthew J. Kurka of ButlerNo one was injured.The Aurora was towed. It had heavy scratches and scrapes on its front passenger side, and its front right tire was flat. The Challenger had heavy scrapes and scratches on the driver’s side, and the driver’s side mirror was broken.Kerr was found to have a suspended license plate and to be an uninsured driver. He was cited for careless driving and for being uninsured.

Butler County SheriffJune 16 — Ian S. McCue, 27, of Butler, was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities.McCue submitted a firearms application to the Butler County Sheriff’s office, stating he had never been convicted of an offense. However, they found that McCue was guilty of possession of a controlled substance and possession or use of drug paraphernalia.

Grove City PoliceThursday — Stephen P. Cope, 29, was charged with receiving stolen property.He had two cell phones in his possession that were taken from a delivered package on June 13 from the 200 block of South Broad Street.7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday — A vehicle hit and damaged a street sign. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Grove City Police Department at 724-458-7925.Wednesday — The police department has an abandoned bicycle that was left in Memorial Park for several days. The owner can identify and claim it at the department.Tuesday — Zion A. Scriven, 19, of Slippery Rock was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and theft for an incident on Dec. 11, 2015, at Tower Presbyterian Church.Scriven entered the church through an unlocked door and damaged several items in the church. He was placed in Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail.Tuesday — Marianne Winovich, 36, of Grove City, was charged with simple assault on a 7-year-old boy that happened May 19 at Winovich’s home. The victim was taken to the Grove City Medical Center where he was treated for injuries from the assault.

State Police, Mercer5:35 a.m. Thursday — Samuel W. Curzi, 43, of Kennerdell, Venango County, was driving his Chevrolet Silverado west on Kilgore Road in Worth Township when a deer ran into the path of his truck, which hit the deer. Curzi was not injured, and the truck was towed.

State Police, New CastleFriday — Someone used the name of Mary Miller, 67, of Volant to open five accounts to different services. The accounts are overdrawn. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the New Castle state police barracks at 724-598-2211.
