BASA plans plant $13.7M overhaul
Tom Rockovich, executive director of the Butler Area Sewer Authority, shows a plate press Thursday that was installed in 1980 and needs to be replaced. BASA officials will undertake a $13.7 million project to upgrade the sewage treatment plant on Litman Road in Butler Township. BASA also plans to replace the pump stations on Negley and Zeigler avenues and replace the Jefferson Street sewer.
