Theodore “Ted” W Bolton Jr., 87, of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of Butler, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Monday in the VA Hospice B Wing of the VA Nursing Home Community Living Center, Vancouver, Wash., while his son, Tim, read many of his favorite Scriptures to him.

Ted served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1951 and afterward married Beatrice Wheeler of Butler in 1954.

In 1982, Ted traveled to Athens, Greece, and Jerusalem, Israel. During his three-month journey, Ted often talked about an angelic visitation concerning where he would live while in Jerusalem and the people Ted would later meet and share the Gospel of Jesus.

In 1995, Ted moved to Portland, Ore., where he continued sharing his love for God's word and ministering in prisons as a speaker and soloist. More recently, he had participated at the Life House Fellowship in Vancouver, Wash.
