Marjorie V. Kiester

Marjorie V. Kiester, 95, formerly of Boyers, died June 16 at her daughter's home.

Marjorie was born Feb 13, 1921, in Marion Township, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Zelda Brown Bell.

She was a 1943 graduate of Slippery Rock State Teachers College and taught in Amsterdam, Mercer County, and in Knox, before retiring in 1982 from Marion Elementary in Boyers.

She was a charter member of the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Harrisville.

She married her husband, William H. Kiester, on May 25, 1946, and he preceded her in death Feb. 9, 2009. Also preceding her were two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her children, David and his wife, Daisy, of Aurora, Colo., Bruce and his wife, Barbara, of New Brighton, Pa., and Linda and her husband, Charles Taylor of Rochester Township, Pa.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

KIESTER — There will be no visitation for Marjorie V. Kiester, who died Thursday, June 16, 2016.Arrangements were entrusted to the Jamison Funeral Home in Harrisville.A private burial was at the Prairie Cemetery.A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. July 9 at the Calvary OPC.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace OPC — Japan Mission.
