State Police, Franklin12:21 a.m. Thursday — A white, 26-year-old male from Emlenton was stopped for a traffic violation on Hill Street and was arrested for driving under the influence. DUI and related charges are pending.

State Police, MercerDec. 26 to Dec. 28 — Luke D. Kramer, 24, of Slippery Rock has been charged with unsworn falsification to authorities and sale of transfer or firearms.Authorities say Kramer tried to buy a pistol from Altra Firearms at 750 S. Hazzard Road in Jackson Township with a previous felony conviction.

State Police, New CastleJune 12 to Wednesday — Douglas G. Kirkwood of Scott Township, Lawrence County, reported his .22-caliber pistol missing from his home at 148 McCaslin Road.

Smith, 46, of Zelienople was charged in Evans City with multiple counts of theft and driving under the influenceSmith is charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and the intent to possess a controlled substance that is not regulated.Smith also was charged with driving while his blood alcohol was .02 percent or greater while his license was suspended, driving while general impaired or incapable of driving safely, and driving under the influence of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors.Smith also was charged with use and possession of drug paraphernalia.
