Paul E. “Granny” Matuke

Paul E. “Granny” Matuke, 72, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born July 19, 1943, in Butler to the late Steve Matuke and Betty Matuke.

Paul worked as a pipe welder for more than 50 years, retiring in 2014.

He was a member of the Italian Society of Butler. Paul enjoyed watching TV, especially the Steelers, mowing his yard, sitting on his porch, and he had a passion for welding.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Joyce Matuke, who he married Dec. 18, 2000; one daughter, Paulette Schubert and her husband, Rick, of Prospect; one granddaughter, Holly Schubert; three brothers, Frank Matuke and his wife, Diane, of Butler, Steve Matuke and his wife, Mary, of Minnesota and Don Matuke and his wife, Mary, of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Garrett Paul Matuke-Schubert; and two brothers, James and Chuck Matuke.

MATUKE — According to the wishes of Paul E. “Granny” Matuke, who died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
