Butler Police7:35 p.m. Sunday — Carlos A. Medina, 34, no known address, was arrested following a reported fight on the 100 block of North Main Street.Police found Medina and several others when they got to the scene. The suspect showed the signs of being in a fight. He was sweating and bleeding from a small cut on his nose.Medina is accused of giving officers a bogus name when they initially questioned him. He was later taken to the station and searched. The search turned up a state identification card that showed his real name.He was arraigned on charges of false identification to law enforcement authorities and disorderly conduct. He was released on his own recognizance.

Grove City Police3:50 p.m. Monday — A shoplifter made off with a torque wrench from the Advantage Auto Parts store on West Main Street. The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-40s Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925Sunday — Paul M. Rayburg, 57, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot on West Main Street. Police said he also faces tickets for speeding and not using his turn signals.4:24 p.m. Friday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction accident at a red light on West Main Street at Breckenridge Street.Police said Stanley Glass, 69, of Grove City caused the wreck when her car hit a vehicle driven by Cynthia Roode, 68, no address given. The collision forced Roode’s vehicle into a vehicle driven by Shannon Thompson, 30, no address given.Glass was cited for careless driving.

State Police, Butler4:15 p.m. Monday — A 21-year-old woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.4:05 a.m. Saturday — The fire marshal’s unit is investigating a fire that damaged an unoccupied home on Elliott Road in Center Township. The home, owned by John Duncan of Butler, had about $11,000 in damage. No other information was available this morning.Thursday — A Jefferson Township man was more than three times over the legal limit for alcohol earlier this month when the sport utility vehicle he was driving got stuck in a field along Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township.Police charged Paul D. Wonders, 51, with driving under the influence and two traffic violations stemming from his arrest about 10:40 p.m. June 8.Troopers immediately suspected Wonder was impaired but they opted not to give him field sobriety tests “due to (his) high level of intoxication,” according to court documents.A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.284 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to DUI, he is charged with disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.June 14 — Police charged Luke A. Dunkle, 38, of Emlenton with drugged driving stemming from a hit-and-run crash last month in Parker Township.Dunkle is accused of walking away after his car struck a tree about 3:30 a.m. May 27 along Division Road near Robinson Road. He took off soon after Parker volunteer firefighters got to the crash and found him still in his car.The suspect eventually walked away, “swaying and stumbling,” according to court documents, without shoes, south on Division Road. The Parker fire chief told police that Dunkle and his car both smelled of alcohol.Dunkle is charged with driving under the influence, hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, unauthorized use of a license plate, driving without insurance, disobeying a traffic control device, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and reckless driving

State Police, Kittanning5:42 p.m. Friday — A 23-year-old Allegheny County man was caught with 14 grams of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop on Route 28 north at exit 19 in North Buffalo Township. Drug possession charges are pending against the suspect, who lives in Wilkinsburg.A 22-year-old Rural Valley woman, who was riding in the vehicle and found with drug contraband, also faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.Police did not identify either suspect as their investigation continues.
