Jim and Eilene Ishler

The Rev. Jim and Eileen Ishler of Butler will celebrate 55 years of marriage with summer visits with family and a trip in the fall.

Ishler married the former Eilene Weidel on June 24, 1961, at Christian Missionary Alliance in Huntingdon.

They have three children, James Ishler of the United Arab Emirates, Jennifer Toth of Altoona and Joel Ishler of San Jose, Calif.

They also have eight grandchildren.

Ishler is a retired pastor of the United Church of Christ. He also worked for Prudential Insurance.

Mrs. Ishler retired from the American Cancer Society. She also worked for the American Red Cross.

The Ishlers are members of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church.

They also are members of the YMCA.
