There is still room for more Jeeps

It’s not too late to register a Jeep to participate in the 2016 Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival.

On-site registration will be available at the festival grounds from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Several hundred more Jeeps can still have fun on the Jeep playground and on-site trails, but the Jeep Invasion on Friday night in Butler and the new night ride on Thursday are sold out.

The Moraine Trail Ride, a festival favorite, is sold out on Saturday but it has time slots available on Friday and Sunday.

The Jeep Team Challenge also is sold out on Saturday but still has space remaining on Sunday.

Seventy more Jeeps can show off their stuff in Saturday’s Show ’n’ Shine competition, and both the Historic Travels Tour and Glacial Interpretive Driving Tour have space remaining.

“Pre-registration was available from Feb. 1 to May 8, and we had a tremendous response,” said Michele Sneddon, festival coordinator and registration manager.

“We’re excited that we still have capacity in many of our activities so that Jeep owners who couldn’t make advance plans still have an opportunity to participate in festival events with their Jeep,” Sneddon said.
