Roger E. Cameron

Roger E. Cameron, 60, of Winfield Township passed away Saturday surrounded by his family at Allegheny General Hospital.

Roger was born May 14, 1956, in New Brighton, a son of the late Wanetta (Scheck) and Harold “Shorty” Cameron.

He was a truck driver for the Local Union 66 in Pittsburgh for the past 15 years, where he hauled heavy equipment.

Roger was a 24-year-member of the Harmony Township Fire Department. He was currently a member of both the Buffalo Township and Saxonburg fire departments. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne A. Belles-Cameron; two daughters, Beth (Philip) Young of Darlington and Laura (Brian) Prichinello of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one son, Craig (Kaylee) Eyth of Harmony Township; one stepson, Patrick R. Belles of Butler; one stepdaughter, Michelle (Edward) Scott of Butler; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Madison, Taylor, Ravyn, Isabella, Kayla, Riley, Cameron and Zach; and one brother, David Stang of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Hamilton and Bonnie Sue Cameron.

CAMERON — Family and friends of Roger E. Cameron, who died Saturday, May 28, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
