Harmony will be festive on June 11

Festivals planned for Harmony

HARMONY — The borough will be a busy place June 11.

That is when the Harmony Museum will have its annual Herb & Garden Fair at the historic 1805 Barn Annex along with a Fiber Festival in the museum’s Stewart Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Harmony Business Association will have its annual Spring Fest throughout the borough as well as a FleaTique market at the same time in the town diamond, Main Street and Mercer Street.

The red museum Barn Annex is at 303 Mercer Rd., just north of the Connoquenessing Creek.

Stewart Hall is part of the museum at 218 Mercer St. in the center of Harmony’s National Historic Landmark.

Fair and festival proceeds will benefit the nonprofit museum.

Visitors to the garden mart and plant exchange can trade potted plants and shop vendors for plants and decorative garden items.

Vouchers will allow exchangers to select plants from other participants. Donated and exchanged plants should be in pots.

Members of Butler County Master Gardeners will provide gardening tips.

A light lunch will be available.

Free parking is available at the barn, and a free shuttle, provided by the Harmony Inn restaurant, links more parking, the museum, shops and the barn.

The Fiber Festival in Stewart Hall, four blocks from the barn, will feature demonstrators and vendors of finished goods and fiber art.

Spinning and weaving will be demonstrated at the Museum Weavers Cabin at 245 Mercer St.

The business association’s Spring Fest will include artist demonstrations, live music, food and refreshments and specialty shop sales along Main and Mercer Streets, plus the FleaTique in the diamond.
