Falcons ousted by DCC

The A-C Valley softball team held a 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning, but couldn't hang on and fell to top-seeded DuBois Central Catholic 4-1 Thursday in the District 9 Class A semifinals in Brockway.

Halee Wetzel doubled for the only hit for the Falcons against DCC starter Riley Assalone.

Katie Stumpner had the tough loss, striking out two in six innings.
