Dangerous turn

Regarding the Keck Road-Route 422 auto accident that took the life of Judith Fry (“Residents fear more deadly wrecks”, May 18, Page 1).

I was in the same place and situation a few years ago. I was going to turn left onto Keck Road from eastbound Route 422 when I saw a truck bearing down on me at high speed. The driver never saw my turn signal as it was near 5 p.m. and the sun was glowing.

When he realized it was almost too late — he passed me going into oncoming traffic. Quickly he was able to get back to the right driver’s lane.

Later I wondered, could this be changed by PennDOT? Just to think how close four cars came to a pile-up. I have never gone that way since — it’s too scary.

To the Fry family I send my sympathy.

To PennDOT I send my hope that this situation can be rectified.
