LeRoy K. Haywood

LeRoy K. Haywood, 65, of Middlesex Township passed away Monday.

He was the beloved husband for 35 years of Pamela (Williams) Cross-Haywood.; the loving father of David Keam Cross-Haywood (Terri Cross) of Tampa, Fla., and Kenta Cross-Haywood (Tram Pham) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and the brother of Rosa Lee Sampson of Pittsburgh, Albert Williams of Boca Raton, Fla., James Haywood of Pittsburgh, Julius Haywood of Pittsburgh and the late Bobbie Lee Haywood.

He was also the soon-to-be grandfather to the son of David Keam and Terri Cross.

LeRoy was a dedicated Penn Hills police officer from 1975 to 2003 and a valued employee with Rahal Mercedes-Benz from 2004 until the present time.

He was an avid watch collector, car collector and an honored member of United Rays Corvette Club. Most of all, he was a dedicated husband, proud father and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

HAYWOOD — Family of LeRoy K. Haywood, who died Monday, May 23, 2016, will welcome friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A celebration of LeRoy's life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church, 6940 Frankstown Ave., Pittsburgh.
