Butler Police3:22 p.m. Saturday — Jesse J. Eaton, 21, of Butler was hit with a police Taser after officers confronted him during a suspected protection from abuse violation in the 100 block of West Brady Street.Police were called after Eaton was reportedly harassing Amanda McCune, according to court documents. When officers got there they saw the defendant speaking to McCune, who has a PFA order against him.One officer grabbed Eaton’s arm but the suspect cursed at him and pulled away, documents said. When Eaton tried to flee, police said, the officer deployed his Taser.The defendant was charged with resisting arrest and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.9:29 p.m. Thursday — Thomas A. Purcell, 23, of Lyndora and Leah C. Labryer, 39, of Saxonburg both landed in trouble with the law following a fight outside the 7-Eleven store on Pillow Street.Police said when they got there, Purcell was yelling obscenities. He was advised to be quiet but continued to act up, according to court documents, and apparently challenged an officer to fight. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct,While there, police said, they noticed Labryer in a vehicle. In the vehicle, documents said, officers noticed “in plain view” a bag containing drug contraband, including three empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a used syringe, copper screen, straw and cooking spoon.The bag of contraband, police noted, was on the floor of the seat where Labryer was seated. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.7:44 p.m. May 18 — Robert M. Pacelli, 46, of Butler was found with suspected drugs after police got a call for an unresponsive man in a vehicle in the 200 block of East Brady Street.Police said Pacelli eventually came to and there appeared to be nothing medically wrong with him. When they searched him, police found three stamp bags of suspected heroin, four baggies of suspected crack cocaine, two crack pies and a syringe.Pacelli is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.

Butler Twp PoliceTuesday — Police for the second time in a week have charged Corren D. Holman, 26, of Oakdale, Allegheny County, with shoplifting at the Ulta Beauty store at Butler Crossing.In the latest case, she is accused of stealing flat irons valued at $450 on May 10. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Holman on a felony count of retail theft and a misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property.On May 17, police got an arrest warrant for the defendant on similar charges, alleging that she took $1,710 worth of merchandise from the store May 12.Tuesday — Jeffrey A. Blystone, 53, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a 1:33 a.m. April 30 call for a reported intoxicated driver at a convenience store on Center Avenue.In addition to driving under the influence, Blystone is charged with driving with a suspended license-DUI related and driving a vehicle without inspection.

State Police, Kittanning8:13 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Charles S. Timmons, 42, of Butler, which was stopped at a red light at Routes 422 and 210 in Plumcreek Township, was rear-ended by another vehicle.Travis R. Sellers, 36, of Hollidaysburg, Blair County, was the other driver. Neither driver was injured but Timmons’ vehicle had to be towed.

State Police, New CastleMonday — A mail package containing a .32-caliber muzzleloader barrel, valued at $120, was stolen from a home on Frew Mill Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, where it was delivered between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.
