Mary Uschak

Mary Uschak of Grove City celebrated her 100th birthday.

Formerly Mary Bungar, she has three children, Barbara of Michigan, David of New Jersey and Glenn of Grove City.

Mrs. Uschak started working in a farming enterprise in childhood when she delivered milk by horse and buggy. As a farmer’s wife, she worked in the family farming business and had an entrepreneurial and profitable route for selling eggs and dressed chickens in Pittsburgh.

She was known as the “Egg Lady” and, based on her purchasing style, the “Layaway Queen.” She was praised for her outstanding pies.

Mrs. Uschak is a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grove City. She also was a member of the Daughters of Rebekah.
