Grove City PoliceMonday — Matthew D. Randall, 28, of Jamestown was arrested stemming from a nearly two-year-old break-in at L.M. Stevenson Co. on Monroe Street. Copper wires and plates worth about $4,000 were taken from the business.Randall was arraigned on felony charges of burglary, trespass and theft, and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail following arraignment.

State Police, Butler7:06 p.m. Wednesday — Jacob Smith, 24, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township.12:15 p.m. Tuesday — An unidentified eastbound vehicle struck a set of four mailboxes along Route 228 in Clinton Township. The unknown driver did not stop after the crash.Friday — Police charged Dana L. Groncki, 49, of Oakland Township with drunken driving stemming from a two-car crash about 9:20 p.m. April 22 on Route 68 at Eyth Road in Oakland Township. She is accused of fleeing to her nearby home, where police found her, according to court documents.Police said Groncki appeared intoxicated and she admitted she had been drinking. She was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after refusing to take field sobriety tests.The defendant was eventually given a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.19 percent, or more than double the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.In addition to DUI, Groncki is charged with hit-and-run, failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident, careless driving and a stop sign violation.

State Police, FranklinMonday — An unknown burglar stole two knives from a home in the 1600 block of Clintonville Road in Irwin Township, Venango County, The burglary happened between 2 and 6 p.m.

State Police, Kittanning12:10 p.m. Tuesday — A 22-year-old Kittanning man was arrested for suspected drugged driving on Route 28 north in South Buffalo Township. Police did not identify the driver, who was found with suspected heroin.Charges that include driving under the influence of a controlled substance are pending toxicology results, police said.Sunday — A thief took money out of an employee’s wallet at the Hilltop Plaza Walmart in East Franklin Township. The victim, a 24-year-old Ford City woman, told police that the money was stolen while she worked between 7 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.April 20 — Brandon A. Pyle, 21, of Kittanning was charged with drunken driving stemming from a March 23 crash in South Buffalo Township that injured five people.Police said Pyle failed to report the accident shortly after 12:30 a.m. March 23 on River Road near Liberty Street and left the scene despite the injuries to the others.Pyle is charged with driving under the influence, five counts each of reckless endangerment and causing an accident involving injury, failing to immediately notify police of an accident, failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident, careless driving, reckless driving and two seat belt violations.

State Police, Mercer2:34 p.m. Monday — Rebekah M. Schaelchin, 21, of Slippery Rock was hurt when she swerved her car to avoid a dog and crashed into a ditch, rolling over two times on Brent Road just west of Mercer Butler Pike in Liberty Township, Mercer County. The car ended on its roof.Schaelchin, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.
