The Slippery Rock in Bloom committee wishes to express our deepest thanks to our community of supporters for the Slippery Rock in Bloom project, supported by Slippery Rock Rotary.

On Saturday we hosted a chili cookoff to raise funds and awareness for the efforts our group of volunteers makes to beatify our lovely borough.

Throughout the year we have hundreds of volunteers and Slippery Rock University students who help plant the 11,000 tulips that you see throughout town. In the next few weeks they’ll all be removed and summer plantings will abound, again with the help of these people.

Our great chili cooks give up a day to cook outdoors, have fun and create a wonderful atmosphere for all. We cannot praise all of our family of committed community supporters enough.
