Butler Police5:55 a.m. Sunday — Samantha Trauterman, 22, of Franklin Township was arrested after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, Jose Ortega, at his home on American Avenue.Ortega told police that Trauterman struck him in the face and head after he asked her to leave. He suffered minor injuries including bruising and scratches on his forehead and around his left eye.The defendant also is accused of punching holes in the wall near a bedroom and in the door to another room at the home. Police estimated the damage at $600.Trauterman was arraigned on charges of simple assault and criminal mischief, and released on her own recognizance.5:46 p.m. Saturday — Larry J. Hoffman Jr., 36, of Butler was arrested after he was caught in the 300 block of West Penn Street with 20 stamp bags of suspected heroin and 31 pills of anti-anxiety medication clonazepam.Police said they stopped Hoffman to question him about an argument that happened earlier on West North Street. He acknowledged the argument was over money and the sale of pills. He also admitted he had drug contraband.When officers searched his book bag, they came upon several pills in a pocket. He was arrested for suspicion of drug possession.At the station, police searched the bag further and turned up what they believed was heroin and clonazepam. They also seized $308 in cash.Hoffman told police that he was selling pills for $2 each. He also admitted he sold heroin earlier that day.He was arraigned on a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail following arraignment.Saturday — Kyle B. Snow, 21, was charged with drugged driving stemming from a two-vehicle wreck last month. He is accused of crashing into the back of another vehicle about 6:55 p.m. April 16 at North Washington and West Brady streets.Police suspected Snow was drug impaired and he was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology reports, according to court documents, showed he had marijuana and cocaine in his system.He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.12:10 p.m. Friday — Percy B. Guilky, 48, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Rossalyn Brace, during a domestic dispute at their home on Sumner Avenue. He is accused of hitting Brace in the face, causing swelling and bruising.Police said a search after his arrest turned up a crack pipe in a pocket. Guilky was arraigned on charges of simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail following arraignment.

Butler Township PoliceFriday — Police got arrest warrants for Tasha M. Nagle, 21, of Butler and Nathan J. Marshall, 33, of Fombell, Beaver County, in connection with a distraction theft about 6:30 p.m. April 26 at the Holiday Inn Express on North Duffy Road.According to a police report, Nagle asked a clerk to show her two rooms upstairs. Moments later, Marshall entered the hotel and sneaked behind the desk, taking $257 from the cash drawer, court documents said.Both suspects are charged with theft and conspiracy.

Grove City Police4:38 a.m. Saturday — Jerry B. Hobbs IV, 21, of Grove City was arrested after he was observed leaving a vehicle on Terrace Avenue that did not belong to him. He was arraigned on charges of theft from a vehicle and loitering and prowling at night, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $15,000 bail2:13 a.m. Saturday — Alexia C. Zdral, 37, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence at West Pine and South Center streets. In addition to DUI, police also charged her with driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.

State Police, Butler8:59 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Justin J. Pry, 20, of Butler struck another SUV that was parked on Main Street just north of State Street in West Sunbury. Pry was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

State Police, New CastleThursday — An identity thief opened a credit card account in the name of a man who lives in Perry Township, Lawrence County.
