Thomas E. Saylor Jr.

Thomas E. Saylor Jr., 74, of Fellowship Manor, Grove City, passed away at 8:29 a.m. Thursday at his home under hospice care.

Tom was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Grove City, to Thomas E. and Viola Coast Saylor. He spent the first 10 years of his life in Hilliards and the rest of his life in Grove City.

He was raised a Methodist, and he retired from Grove City College in 2003, where he was a custodian for almost 30 years.

Tom was an avid hunter, and he enjoyed watching baseball. He was very patriotic to our county.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Viola McFadden of Grove City; his niece, Melissa Linn and her husband, Gary, of Muncy, Pa.; two nephews, Jeffrey Armstrong and his wife, Judy, of Grove City and Darryl Armstrong of Slippery Rock; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents; his father; his sister, Linda Armstrong; and his stepfather, Wayne McFadden.

SAYLOR — Visitation for Thomas E. Saylor Jr., who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Grove City.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rod Burk, a family friend, officiating. Burial will take place at the Mount Varnum Cemetery, Butler County.
