Butler PoliceWednesday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for three-time convicted shoplifter Donna J. Neely, 57, of Butler Township on charges she stole a jug of tea April 20 from the Rite Aid store on South Main Street. Store surveillance video helped identify the suspect, court documents said.Because of her prior convictions, Neely is charged with a felony count of retail theft for allegedly shoplifting the $3 container of tea.

State Police, ButlerTuesday — Hollie J. Oesterling, 40, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop March 27 at West Cunningham and New Castle streets. Police said they pulled over Oesterling after she ran a yield sign and a traffic light.The suspect, who smelled of a “strong odor” of alcohol, according to court documents, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results eventually showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.089 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to driving under the influence, Oesterling is charged with failing to yield the right of way, disregarding a red light and careless driving.

Butler Twp. Police1:17 a.m. Thursday — Nicholas J. Campbell, 33, of Butler landed in trouble with the law after he caused a disturbance at the Butler Hospital emergency room. Police cited him for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Thursday — Police charged Adam R. Took, 29, of Butler with huffing aerosol duster last month outside the Walgreens on New Castle Road. Police were notified March 28 after Took was found lying unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the store.The suspect, it turned out, was wanted on a bench warrant. He was arrested and placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant. Police subsequently cited him for illegal use of certain solvents and noxious substances.Thursday — Thomas A. Purcell, 25, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an April 15 traffic stop on Hansen Avenue. Police said they found two syringes in his car.

State Police, Franklin5:43 p.m. Tuesday — A Chicora man was injured after he suffered an apparent medical condition and crashed his vehicle on Lisbon Road just north of Dogwood Road in Scrubgrass Township. John Ehrman, 61, lost control of the vehicle when he passed out.Police said the vehicle traveled up a small embankment and ended on its side. He was wearing a seat belt.Ehrman was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries. His condition was not known this morning. Police cited him for careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.The Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department and Emlenton Ambulance assisted at the scene.2:01 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Cindy M. Griffith, 41, of Harrisville struck a utility pole along Creek Bottom Road in Clinton Township, Venango County. She told police the crash happened when she swerved to avoid four deer that ran onto the road.

State Police, KittanningMonday — Alycia M. Painter, 23, of Worthington and Corey T. Booth, 26, of Kittaning were charged with misdemeanor drug possession in connection with a traffic stop about 4 p.m. April 5 in Manor Township.According to a police report, the two suspects were found with about one gram of cocaine and several prescription pills.
