The May 5 National Day of Prayer will be observed in several Butler County locations.

In Butler:

- 7 to 8 a.m. at Diamond Park. Coffee and doughnuts will be available;

- Noon to 1 p.m. at North Street Christian Church, 220 W. North St. Sack lunches provided;

- 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Salvation Army Church, 313 W. Cunningham St. Prayer materials provided; and

- 6:30 to 7 p.m. at First Methodist Church, 200 E. North St. Prayer materials provided.

In Mars:

- 2 to 4 p.m. at Penn Mar Apartments community room, 2 Gilkey Drive. There will be open prayer and several pastors will be present.
