Bernstine wins big in 10th District GOP primary

NEW BEAVER — Lawrence County businessman and farmer Aaron Bernstine cruised to a victory in the Republican primary for Pennsylvania’s 10th legislative district on Tuesday.

In Lawrence County, where the majority of votes in the race were cast, Berstine had more than 88 percent of the vote, or 2,313 votes, as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday with 85 percent of the county’s precincts reporting.

In Butler County Berstine had won 563 votes, or more than 66 percent of the vote in the two precincts included in the district.

In Beaver County, with 98 percent of precincts reporting, Bernstine had won 1,428 votes, or more than 57 percent of the vote.

Berstine was going up against fellow GOP hopefuls Clifford Glovier of Beaver Falls and Dawnlyn Valli of North Sewickley Township.

The 10th district includes portions of Butler, Beaver and Lawrence counties.
