Hassen, Marshall

William Marshall V and Lauren Hassen

Lauren JoAnn Hassen and William H. Marshall V, both of Columbus, Ohio, were united in marriage Nov. 28 at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. The Rev. John P. Gallagher officiated. A reception followed at Twelve Oaks Mansion.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Jodi Hassen of Cranberry Township. Parents of the bridegroom are William H. and Patrice Marshall IV of Akron, Ohio.

The maid of honor was Erica J. Hassen of Germantown, Md. Bridesmaids included Shannon Emerick of Washington, Barbara Reichert of Cleveland, Priya Chatterjee of Washington and Claire Marshall of Akron.

Performing the duties of best man was Nathan Cass of Denver. Ushers included Ian Marshall of Los Angeles, Tristan Marshall of Chicago, Wesley Marshall of Akron and Reed McEnteer of Fairlawn, Ohio.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and psychology from Case Western Reserve University in 2008 and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2014.

She is completing a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

The bridegroom was home-schooled and graduated from high school in 2001. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Akron in 2010. He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2014.

He is completing a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Caribbean, the couple is making their home in Columbus.
