Bucko homers spark Knoch

Dom Bucko hit two more home runs and Alex Stobert also went deep as the Knoch baseball team won a wild 9-8 decision over section foe Hampton Tuesday afternoon.

Bucko now has three home runs in two games.

Knoch led 9-5 in the bottom of the seventh when Hampton loaded the bases and then scored three runs on a bases-clearing double. But the Talbots' hitter was thrown out at third trying to stretch his hit into a triple to end the game.

Stobert picked up the win and Jeremy Frazier the save for the Knights (2-0, 1-0).

P.J. Gourley doubled, singled and drove in three runs for Knoch.

Celia Knappenberger tossed a four-hit shutout and also tripled as Knoch continued to roll with a 2-0 section win over Highlands.

Taylor Lesseski also doubled for the Knights (6-0, 1-0), who have now played four consecutive games without committing an error.
