Son of former Butler coach dies in crash
WRIGHT CITY, Mo. — The son of a former Butler High School basketball coach was killed in a crash near St. Louis.
Mark W. Jula, 29, of St. Louis was driving eastbound on Interstate 70 at about 10 p.m. Wednesday when he ran off the right side of the road and collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer attempting to merge onto the road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
A Warren County deputy coroner pronounced Jula dead at the scene at 11:17 p.m. He was wearing a seat belt.
Jula’s 2011 Nissan Rogue was totaled. The truck had moderate damage.
