Butler police are seeking a suspected robber who is accused of punching a man and stealing his car this week.

Bryan R. Leonard, 31, of Butler is wanted on an arrest warrant on felony charges of robbery of a vehicle and theft.

The alleged crime happened about 11 a.m. Tuesday at Leonard’s home in the 200 block of East Penn Street, investigators said.

Gordon Ifft of Springdale, Allegheny County, appeared at the police station and said that while at Leonard’s home, the suspect punched him in the arm and took his car keys.

According to court documents, Leonard ran out of the house and stole the victim’s 2013 Buick Verano.

Police searched but could not immediately find the suspect.

Information about the stolen vehicle was later entered into the National Crime Information Center.
