Man injured in crash on Graham School Road

CRANBERRY TWP — A man was injured Wednesday morning after he was in a two-vehicle accident on Graham School Road near Norman Drive.

The driver of a Toyota SUV was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation after his vehicle and a Ford SUV collided about 9:20 a.m.

His name and the severity of his injuries were unavailable Wednesday.

The woman driver of the Ford was not hurt, though the airbags went off in the vehicle and she had to exit through the passenger side door.

The Toyota traveled about 500 feet after the crash, ending up in a wooded area not far from the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Paramedics with Cranberry Township EMS had to assist the man out of the vehicle and onto a stretcher to be taken for evaluation. Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded.

Township police are investigating the cause of the accident, said Sgt. Chuck Mascellino, police spokesman.

The road was closed so that both vehicles could be towed. It reopened shortly after 10 a.m.
