SR girls see 9-game streak snapped

Marissa Siebka totaled 11 points, six rebounds and three steals, but it was not enough to lift Slippery Rock in a 44-42 girls basketball loss at Indiana Saturday afternoon.

Sedona Campbell added eight points and eight rebounds for the Rockets (14-6), who had their nine-game winning streak snapped.

Indoor track

Butler's boys and girls 4x200 and 4x400 meter relay teams all placed first at a high school indoor track invitational Saturday at Mount Union College.

On the girls side, Emily Horstman, Odile Enslen, Maddie Glew and Shana Hoy won the 4x200 while Enslen, Hoy, Kelly Kabay and Maddie Tonini won the 4x400.

For the boys, Connor Frost, Nathen Kibbie, Lamont Hoy and Luke Kernic ran a 1:34 to win the 4x200. Noble Myrick, Hoy, Quinten Brodie and Terance Thompson Maryland won the 4x400. Numerous other Butler athletes placed in the meet.
