[naviga:h3]Piano touch subject of meeting[/naviga:h3]

ADAMS TWP — Opus I Music Society will present “Evaluating and Improving Piano Tone and Touch” at 10 a.m. Monday at Mars Alliance Church, 997 Route 228.

Two experienced piano technicians, Joe DeFazio and Ken Hand, will give an overview of the factors responsible for creating these differences in piano touch. Networking and refreshments will be at 9:30 a.m. in the music room.

[naviga:h3]Registration day set at St. Wendelin[/naviga:h3]

Setup day and registration for students from kindergarten to eighth grade at St. Wendelin Catholic School, 211 St. Wendelin Road, will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 16.

An evening open house and registration will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 16.

Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate, immunization records and baptismal certificate, if applicable.

[naviga:h3]Zelienople Library schedules events[/naviga:h3]

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library events for February include.

The “Love your Library” winter book sale will be Feb. 9 to 13. The sale will be in the library’s teen room during regular hours.

Gene Collier and Sean Collier will perform a stand-up comedy routine to benefit the library Feb. 27 at the American Legion, 308 W. New Castle St., Zelienople. The event is presented by the Hungarian Beneficial Society.

Tickets may be bought at the library or at eventbrite.com. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m.

Gene Collier has performed locally for more than 15 years. He is a writer and co-author of “The Chief,” the play about Steelers founder Art Rooney.

Sean Collier is a movie critic and a stand-up comedian from Pittsburgh.

Winter children’s programs include Amazing Mondays and Pages and Paws for elementary students and story hours for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

The library will be closed Feb. 15 for Presidents Day.
