Make ballpark safe
A recent article in the Butler Eagle stated Major League Baseball recommends protective netting not only for MLB stadiums, but also for spring training ball parks.
Over this past summer, I attended a Blue Sox game and saw an example of this problem at Kelly Automotive Park. I was sitting in the right field general admission seats with a roof overhead. Next to me was the picnic area with many children running around.
A foul pop-up was hit to this area coming down on a picnic table only feet away from the kids.
A protective netting needs to be installed to this area before there is a bad accident. I hope this letter helps to get a safety net installed so that we can avoid any major injuries that could have been prevented.
