You Left
You left at twenty-seven for the heavens
Never to see your boy Turn eleven.
You left so soon like a lizard going over a dune.
It broke my heart But not my will
To keep going on but yet I feel still.
For what I know I know not of God’s ways
As it will take longer than days,
Why he takes the good.
But maybe he should for their sake and ours.
