Greaves nets 35 in Warrior win

Alazia Greaves had a monster game for Moniteau with 35 points — including an 11-for-11 shooting night at the free throw line — as the Warriors held off A-C Valley, 67-54, in high school girls basketball action Tuesday night.

Greaves helped Moniteau (13-5) build an 18-6 lead after the first quarter and hold a 30-21 advantage at the half.

But A-C Valley sophomore Ellie Thompson spurred a rally with 26 points for the Falcons.

The rally, though, ultimately fell short and the Warriors seized control in the fourth quarter.

Kirstina DeMatteis added 16 points and nine rebounds for Moniteau.

Lauren McNany pitched in 11 points for the Falcons.
