Croll's 13 helps SR girls to win

Slippery Rock junior guard Steph Croll sank 13 points, including three treys, to lead the Rockets to a 39-25 District 10, Region 5 girls basketball victory at Oil City Monday night.

Sedona Campbell added six points and eight rebounds for Slippery Rock (8-5, 3-0), which outscored the Oilers 16-5 in the final period.

Hockey

William Foley scored twice and Keaton Hanna once, but Mars fell in overtime to North Hills 4-3 at Robert Morris University's Island Sports Center.

Beau Heakins and Jonathan Kowalkowski both had a pair of assists for the Planets (12-4) and Tyler Spreng made 17 saves in net.

Caitlyn Mueller scored a career-high 18 points, compiled five assists, five steals and four 3-pointers as the First Baptist Christian School girls basketball team defeated Westmoreland Christian Academy, 51-8, recently.

Shelby Poorman added 11 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, Lydia Roth 12 points and seven rebounds.
