Knoch stuns Hampton

Hannes scores 24 points for Knights in win

Austin Hannes scored 24 points and hit six 3-pointers as the Knoch boys basketball team pulled off a huge road upset of Hampton, 67-61, Friday night.

Hannes had 16 of his points by halftime as the Knights took a 40-36 lead.

That advantage grew to 58-48 by the end of the third quarter as Hannes tacked on eight more points.

Mac Christy added 12 points and P.J. Gourley 10 for Knoch (8-5, 5-3).

Antonio Ionadi, who scored 37 points in a Hampton win over Mars earlier in the week, scored 19 to lead the Talbots (10-5, 6-2).
