Christine M. Charlton

Christine M. Charlton, 58, of Butler, went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Christine was born Dec. 25, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo. She was the daughter of the late Lynn R. “Bob” and Mary E. Vassar Hupp.

She was a 1976 graduate of Butler High School, and she also graduated from New Castle Beauty School and Butler County Community College.

She enjoyed gardening, singing karaoke and the company of her dogs.

She was a family living provider for ARC in Butler. She had been employed at H&R Block for a number of years and retired from the Office of Personnel Management in Boyers.

Christine was a Christian and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by her husband, George W. Charlton, who she married May 19, 1978, in Karns City; her daughter, Charissa Charlton Doyle; two sons, Justin Charlton and his wife, Amber, and Steven Charlton, all of Butler; her brother, Charles Hupp of East Butler; her sister, Vicky Butler of Butler; 13 grandchildren, Steven, Tiffany, Christopher, Jase, Chase, Jonathan, Austin, Logan, Alayna, Emma and three grandchildren in Florida; one great-grandson, Konnor, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

CHARLTON — Friends of Christine M. Charlton, who died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora.A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Krajacic, pastor of Community Alliance Church in Butler, officiating.
