Alene M. Geyer

Alene M. Geyer, 82, of Butler passed away peacefully Monday at her home surrounded by her family.

Alene was born April 28, 1933, in Natrona Heights. She was the daughter of the late Amos Whitely and the late Elizabeth Vaughn Whitely.

She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Alene was active, up until her death, with the volunteer Bible ministry program for 60 six years. She loved playing the piano and crafts, especially sewing, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.

Alene is survived by one son, Charles “Bud” H. Geyer and his wife, Sue, of Center Township; one daughter, April Spahn and her husband, Brian, of Chicora; five grandchildren, Clint, Lindsey, Kaylee (Anthony), Zachary and Austin; and one great-grandson, Jordan.

Also surviving are one sister, Bernice Lintz of Saxonburg; one brother, Don Whitely of Reynoldsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Alene was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Whitely and Vera Cousins; and two brothers, Richard Whitely and Alford Whitely.

GEYER — A memorial service for Alene M. Geyer, who died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 157 Unionville Road, Butler, with the Rev.
