Janet E. Grounds McMaster

Janet E. Grounds McMaster, 73, of Butler passed away Saturday evening at her home.

Born Dec. 22, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Grounds.

Janet was a Lutheran.

She had spent her early childhood traveling with her parents in a carnival.

Janet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with her family.

She loved her cats and dog, and she was a great fan of Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed dancing.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Reed Grounds, and three grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert G. McMaster Jr., who she married June 11, 1999; five sons, William (Lindsay Bonasso) Bridgeman of Pittsburgh, Richard Bridgeman of East Brady, Robert McMaster III of Butler, Guy (Cathy) McMaster of Zelienople and Barry (Amanda) McMaster of Tennessee; three daughters, Diane (Lou) Ziccarelli of Gibsonia, Lisa (Angie Panei) Wenzel of Cranberry Township and Beth (Mark) Britton of Hershey; two brothers, Robert Grounds of California and Jack Grounds of Florida; one sister, Barbara Zyski of Chicora; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

MCMASTER — Friends of Janet E. Grounds McMaster, who died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, and relatives are welcome to attend a memorial gathering from 1 to 2 p.m. at A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.
