Thursday — Police charged Bobbi R. Rock, 43, of Summit Township with being more than triple the legal limit for alcohol in a suspected drunken driving crash last month on South McKean Street near East Birch Street.

Rock allegedly had way too much to drink at 8:35 p.m. Nov. 5 when her sport utility vehicle struck a pickup truck, which was pushed into a parking meter. The suspect continued to travel north until her SUV hit a second parked vehicle.

Police said she did not stop after the crash but was later found. Her blood-alcohol level turned out to be 0.26 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

In addition to driving under the influence, Rock is charged with hit-and-run.

Friday — Police charged Daniel C. Yori, 30, of Rimersburg, Clarion County, with not paying for a 10-foot aluminum brake he rented Oct. 10 at Kenmac Rental & Sales on South Main Street. Yori, who owes $286 in rental fees, is charged with theft of services.

Thursday — Brian A. Stright, 49, of Cranberry Township was charged with failing to return a Honda generator that he rented Oct. 14 at Kenmac Rental & Sales on South Main Street.

Police said Stright owes the business restitution of $1,074 for the generator and $564 in rental fees.

He is charged with theft of leased property and theft of services.

Wednesday — James L. Musser III, 34, of Butler Township was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after being caught at 11:19 a.m. Dec. 4 in the 200 block of American Avenue. Police found him with two syringes and a suspected drug cooking spoon.

1:20 p.m. Thursday — Nanette M. Coleman, 49, of Butler was caught shoplifting $179 in merchandise at a self-checkout register at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Coleman is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.

Friday — Police charged a 14-year-old student who was found Dec. 1 with marijuana at the Butler Intermediate High School. The teenager, who police did not identify, is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

11:36 p.m. Friday — At least one person was reportedly hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Route 68 at the Connoquenessing Elementary School in Connoquenessing Township. A police report was not immediately available.

Connoquenessing and Butler Township Fire District 3 volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.

Thursday — Police reported that two teenagers face escape charges for leaving the Summit Academy reform school in Summit Township last month.

The suspects — a 19-year-old New Kensington, Westmoreland County man and a 17-year-old Scranton boy — later were found nearby at a home on Jones Road following the Nov. 15 alleged escape.

9:34 p.m. Friday — Judah G. Sliker, 36, of Abbottstown, Adams County, was arrested after he allegedly tried to break into a Madison Township, Armstrong County, home and threatened to harm the woman who lives there.

The alleged victim contacted a neighbor on Madison Road who intervened, protecting the woman and apparently forcing Sliker to flee into nearby woods, where police arrested him. New Bethlehem police also assisted.

Sliker was arraigned on charges of attempted burglary, terroristic threats and harassment. He is in the Armstrong County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.

11:25 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Jordan M. Hyatt, 20, of Slippery Rock collided with a pickup truck driven by John W. Edwards, 71, of Volant at the intersection of Route 388 and Eastbrook Harlansburg Road.

Hyatt failed to yield at the stop sign and the side of his vehicle was struck by Edwards’ truck.

Hyatt was cited with a stop sign violation.

9:43 p.m. Nov. 27 — Christopher T. Joyce, 48, of Parker was charged with DUI and other traffic violations after police pulled him over for allegedly driving without any lights on Route 58 in Foxboro borough.

In addition to DUI, Joyce was cited for driving with a suspended license, driving without proper registration, unauthorized transfer of registration plate, driving without insurance, careless driving and driving without lights to avoid identification or arrest.

12:30 a.m. Saturday — Icy-road conditions were blamed for a one-car wreck in Irwin Township. Ahmed B. Hemeidi, 28, of Detroit lost control of the vehicle and hit a traffic sign on Interstate 80 near the rest area entrance.

11:30 p.m. Saturday — A Butler County man’s stolen vehicle was found abandoned in Rayburn Township. A patrol trooper came upon the vehicle on White Road.

Police at the Butler-based barracks are investigating the case of the stolen vehicle, owned by a Cabot man. Anyone with information is asked to call police in Butler at 724-284-8100 or in Kittanning at 724-543-2011.

12:50 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jay Paul, 70, of Worthington was rear-ended by a car on Route 28 at the Exit 12A off ramp in Frazer Township, Allegheny County. The car, driven by Robert S. Doak, 25, of Pittsburgh, left about 66 feet of skid marks before hitting Paul’s vehicle.

The SUV was pushed into the back of another SUV driven by Beverly Ann Nestor, 41, of New Kensington.

Doak, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC St. Margaret’s hospital in Pittsburgh with minor injuries. Police said Doak faces tickets for driving at an unsafe speed and driving with an expired inspection sticker.

12:19 a.m. Saturday — An Erie man was hurt when he lost control of his car and hit a bridge abutment and guardrail on Route 62 in Sandy Lake Township. Kahlique E. Harris, 21, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Greenville hospital with moderate injuries. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and the seat belt violation.

6:47 p.m. Dec. 3 — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The collision happened when a 17-year-old Coraopolis, Allegheny County, girl pulled out of a store parking lot on Route 65 and into the path of a sport utility vehicle just south of Harmony Baptist Road.

Debbie A. Keller, 56, of New Castle, a passenger in the SUV, suffered moderate injuries. Virginia L. Snedeker, 56, of Enon Valley, was the other driver,

The girl was cited for an unspecified traffic violation.
